Join us for Friday feel good groove time with host and DJ Junai Fantastic. All ages welcome at this safe and sober dance floor where you will find hula hoops, bubbles and good vibrations on the loose. You will also meet your neighbors, make new friends, and strengthen our community through the medicine of movement and music.

Right here on the Monterey Peninsula we have a vibrant community of dancers that has been nourished for many years by DanceJam ecstatic dances. When COVID closed down most options EVOLUTION picked up the torch and we offered a weekly outdoor dance that anchored the community in tumultuous times. Dancing together is our medicine, a form of expression, and a primal way to communicate. We are delighted to offer a friendly, safe and playful place to shake your booty.

Location is at Chautauqua Hall in Pacific Grove, at 159 17th street in the big historic barn turned community center. On occasion, we also dance at Evolution Studios in Pacific Grove, on the back side of the American Tin Cannery. Our mailing address is 125 Oceanview Blvd., Suite 211, however the studio entrance is on Sloat Ave (see map below). There is no entrance from Oceanview Blvd. or the mall. Modern Animal dance labs meet there along with our weekly yoga and other movement art classes.
